Recently, Nanjing Librairie Avant-Gardes Wutaishan Main Store dismantled its iconic entrance signage and issued an announcement prohibiting commercial photography and instant photo services, which has sparked widespread attention. Since the implementation of the ban on June 23rd, the clusters of commercial photography stalls and tourists outside the bookstore have significantly decreased, and the daily congestion of over a hundred people has basically disappeared. Some instant photo merchants have already relocated their businesses, and the "popular photo-taking spots" at the entrance slope and the center of the driveway have been fenced off, greatly improving the traffic flow in the area.

The bookstore management stated that this move aims to address the disruptions caused by long-term commercial photography to the operational order and traffic safety.
